We breathed new life into a shuttered RV manufacturing plant in Lancaster, California, turning out battery-electric buses and trucks that are improving air quality across the nation. A long-vacant and blighted building in downtown Los Angeles was rehabilitated into BYD’s North America headquarters.
BYD continues to invest in America, opening a forklift center in Rancho Dominguez, California in 2020, and establishing a network of service center across America to serve our customers.
All our bus models in service throughout the United States purchased with federal funds comply with Buy America 49 CFR Part 661 – Buy America, and 49 CFR Part 663.13, incorporating nearly 75% U.S. content.
BYD spends tens of millions of dollars each year on components made by American vendors across the nation.
